Do good in the world
- Before the existence of Rotary Club of Kampala Nsambya. There existed Nsambya social leaders club (SLC) which used to meet every Tuesday at 8:00pm to discuss important issues and hosted visitors of importance.
- During 2012, one of the visitors was, Past District Governor Nelson Kawalya, who took keen interest in what the social leaders club (SLC) was doing. He suggested turning the (SLC) into a Rotary club. He gave his reasons and members of Social leaders Club believed him.
- On the 19th day of July 2012, the club adopted the idea and the formation started with the mentorship of PDG Nelson PDG and the 1st meeting of Nsambya Rotary club in formation was held at 8:00pm, in Nsambya General Clinic Board room.
- The Club was mothered by the Rotary Club of Mengo where Rtn. PDG Nelson Kawalya belongs and Rtn (PAG) James Kalibala was the special Governor’s representative.
- The club started with 42 members but only 36 were registered with Rotary International, our club was admitted to RI on 10th April 2013 and the charter night was held on 7th June 2013
